Hello friends, and happy Friday!
I originally sat down to write about my five favorite ecological documentaries. That was what I promised at the end of Wednesday’s article. There was just one problem, as I was writing them, I realized that I couldn’t actually find five that I had watched and wanted to write about. It was a bold statement to promise a list of documentaries when I famously don’t watch documentaries. But I found four that I really loved for multiple reasons, and then couldn’t find a fifth, so I decided I had to watch one. Now you may be thinking, “Aidan, this isn’t about relationships, but I would argue that our relationship to the Earth is actually one of the most important ones there is, so take a breath and read on.”
After scrounging some lists and feeling overwhelmed by how depressed I wanted to be, I found one that looked oddly optimistic. While every other documentary explored the dangers of climate change, the trailer for this one promised to look for solutions and find hope. Naturally, my optimistic outlook was instantly drawn to this, and thus I started watching 2040 by Damien Gameau. Normally, I’d put the title of the movie after the paywall, but I really think this film is so important, and I think everyone should give it a watch. It’s on Amazon Prime, but you have to get a free trial to Fuse+, just do it and instantly cancel it, that’s what I did, it’s so easy, and I promise it will have a lasting impact.
If you’re a paying subscriber, you’ll get access to all the incredible things I learned from this move and, of course, the four other ones as well. If you’re a free subscriber and intrigued, you can simply upgrade below! Now, let’s get regenerating!
