Regarding third spaces and social isolation:

As our world has evolved to a hybrid society and our immunocompromised friends still are dealing with isolation year-round to varying degrees, that’s one possibility.

It excited me to read other people are thinking about this stuff though. After all, you and I met in the summer because I am much bolder and social in the great outdoors and I am hoping that access gets more expanded for others.

It is possible to stay in touch but know and understand that there are people we see more in certain contexts (a time of year, a place) and honor the distinct experiences and connections we have with different people. I’m excited to also hear more of your and other people’s thoughts.
